WHAT ARE BIORHYTHMS?

Life is influenced by various rhythms. A few examples are sleeping, waking, seasonal changes of mood, body temperature, hormone levels and the female menstrual cycle.

Biorhythms are natural cycles of energy which affect us physically, emotionally and intellectually. An individual's cycles can be shown on a chart as waves moving above and below a horizontal line called a caution line. A critical day (or caution day) occurs when one of these cycles crosses this line. Being aware of these caution days it is possible to reduce stress, accidents and illness.

The physical cycle (23 days) governs vitality, strength, endurance, confidence, sex drive and immunity to illness.

The emotional cycle (28 days) governs moods, nervous reactions and creative ability.

The intellectual cycle (33 days) governs decision making, memory and learning ability.
